Thread Check is a small, free browser tool for stitchers who already keep a DMC inventory in a CSV or spreadsheet.

Choose a selectable-text PDF, select its legend page, review the candidate thread codes, and compare them with your inventory CSV. You can download a missing-colour list. Your selected files are processed in the browser and are not uploaded by the tool.

It checks whether you hold a colour, not whether you own enough thread for the pattern. Scanned PDFs, OCR, brand conversion and pattern generation are not supported. Page numbers and stitch counts can look like thread codes, so you must check the candidates against the original legend. Blank or invalid inventory quantities are marked for review.

PDF limit: 20 MB / 100 pages. CSV: comma-separated UTF-8 with a header row, up to 2 MB / 5,000 rows. You choose the code and quantity columns.

This experimental version is free. A possible future fixed-version purchase would be US$9; nothing is for sale here. No account is required. The tool has no analytics, saved inventory or checkout. The hosting platform may collect its normal page statistics.
